Can vouchers mean free dinner?

Here's a toast to our society which is full of strange people. Unlikely things happening at the most likely places is nothing new, but what when they are over-stretched and the point of "I am Educated" comes into play? This is a little description of one such event I witnessed at a famous restaurant near Inox- Pune. Read and think over it:

A family had won a few gift vouchers which were redeemable at this restaurant from Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM. In all they had Rs.1000 worth of vouchers (one amounting Rs.500 and five of Rs. 100 each). The family had a voluptuous dinner and was the loudest group in the restaurant. They asked for the bill and it was presented to them. Suddenly, a few seconds later there was a big shout by one of the ladies in the family. "You idiots, cheaters, bastards...." she kept yelling at the waiter and the manager. Everyone sitting there, including me, thought that there was some serious mistake either in the billing or in the food served. But later we discovered that it was all happening because the management refused to accept four vouchers totalling Rs.800 which the undisputed leader of the family (the shouting and screaming female) had given to pay her bill amounting Rs.810. And then she went on, "I am an educated person, I know you guys are cheaters. You don't have any respect for your own gift vouchers. Why do you issue them if you don't wanna accept them later on? You bastards. I am a B.A.-L.LB. I will sue you in court. You will pay for it. How dare you guys don't accept it?......" and "blah, blah, blah"

She went out with her family without paying. Is that what is taught to us in our education? Does it mean that if I have 5 Rolex gift vouchers of Rs.5000 each I can get the watch for free?
