I AM LEGEND- Butterfly Effect

This new Will Smith starrer is a real good step forward in forewarning us... Many of us do agree...

Altering DNA & RNA is surely a solution for many human worries but it also has its own DISASTROUS consequences. The movie depicts it.

But during the whole movie... we're shown Butterflies. How many of us realize the significance of this? Well... Not many. Here I would like to put forward a term- "Butterfly Effect", a part of Chaos Theory.

Here is the Wikipedia definition:

The butterfly effect is a phrase that encapsulates the more technical notion of sensitive dependence on initial conditions in chaos theory. Small variations of the initial condition of a nonlinear dynamical system may produce large variations in the long term behaviour of the system. The phrase refers to the idea that a butterfly's wings might create tiny changes in the atmosphere that ultimately cause a tornado to appear (or prevent a tornado from appearing).

And we all can now establish the link between butterfly & the movie... It shows that a small mistake now can end the human kind. Also it defines why Robert Neville decides to collect vaccine & hand it over to the girl before committing suicide in an attempt to save them.

We also have a message here- One deed, good or bad, can come across as an outcome or consequence. On a more philosophical note- the time you are having now whether its good or bad is a result of your own actions... God is neutral.
